Where to look for a job?

Im studying at uni and looking for a part-time job ideally something to do with accounting and/or finance. I’ve tried most the banks and cant find anything. Im now applying for a few retail/customer services roles from the job centre.

I don’t have any previous work experience and i was wondering if anyone could point out some place i can find more vacancy listings?

Also what sort of accountancy roles are open to me as i have yet to graduate?

Have you checked with your university’s career office? Most universities have jobs listed for students, which would be part time. You might be able to get an internship at an accounting firm and get paid for that. Otherwise check the Monster Jobs online; there are lots of accounting/bookkeeping jobs there. Good luck.

Can I become a teacher at 28 with poor qualifications??

If you are at uni and you have no previous work experience you are going to find it very hard to get a job because employers are always looking for experienced staff so if i was you i would do some voluntary work or an apprenticeship to gt into employment that way it will be easier. hope this helps and good luck on your job search :-) .

There are several specialised agencies that deal in accountancy jobs, the one i can think of off the top of my head is RK Accountancy. Best of luck
